Driver of truck that fell off hillside escaped life-threatening injuries
The driver of a truck that fell more than 12 feet off a road at Diamond Estate, Tortola, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, is said to have not sustained any life-threatening injuries.
The truck, which was transporting concrete blocks, fell partially on top of a house.
According to reports reaching our newsroom, the 23-year-old driver was attempting to manoeuvre his vehicle on to a driveway at the edge of a steep turn when the truck slid off the hillside.
The driver was said to have been pinned inside the cabin of the vehicle.
The truck was extensively damaged as well as part of the house on which it fell.
It is unclear if anyone was in the house at the time of the accident.
