Dutch Parliament Chair Vera Bergkamp called on Twitter to take immediate action to prevent threatening messages against lawmakers, including death threats and calls for violence, on its platform.
She expressed deep concern over recent tweets targeting members of parliament and stated that these threats may be punishable under Dutch criminal law.
The chairwoman requested action to protect freedom of expression, as Twitter was recently acquired by billionaire Elon Musk
with a focus on free speech.
Twitter has faced criticism for its handling of content moderation, and the company has not yet responded to the requests for comment.
