EE fatal shooting victims identified as Kawa Cornwall & Kadeem E. Frett

With next-of-kin now properly notified, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) can now disclose that the two men fatally shot in East End on Friday night, October 21, 2022, are Kawa Cornwall aka ‘Willie’ and Kadeem E. Frett.

Police had earlier confirmed that two persons were “unresponsive” and two were injured as a result of a shooting in East End.

“Police can confirm that two persons are unresponsive and two are injured at the scene of a shooting incident in East End this evening. No other information is available at this time,” Police stated on Friday night.

It is still unclear what were the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident or whether anyone has since been arrested.

6 fatal shootings for 2022


There have now been six fatal shootings in the VI for 2022.

Jaquan Thomas was fatally shot in Little Apple Bay on January 30, Le’Shaughn A. Smith was shot dead at Huntums Ghut on February 24, Corey Butler was fatally shot near Scatliffe Alley on June 21, and Jason Potter Jr aka Thug was shot and killed in Greenland on August 4, 2022.
