Erick Rabsatt, 19, charged in relation to accident that killed Ryan Adams

Nearly a year and a half after he turned himself over to police, 19-year-old Erick Rabsatt has been charged in relation to the accident that claimed the life of motor scooter rider Ryan Adams, 20, at Duff’s Bottom, Tortola, on October 23, 2019.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, Rabsatt was charged yesterday, March 15, 2021, for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving and Perverting the Course of Justice.

Rabsatt had allegedly fled the scene of the accident but turned himself over to police days after.

The driver was reportedly operating a truck (licence plate: CM 6493), heading east in the direction of Road Town, when it became involved in an accident with a motor scooter (MC 1207) in the vicinity of Island Department Store.

The rider of the motor scooter, Ryan Adams, 20, of Sea Cows Bay, succumbed to his injuries on October 24, 2019, at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

The accident at Duffs Bottom, Tortola, on October 23, 2019 claimed the life of motorcyclist Ryan Adams, 20, of Sea Cows Bay, Tortola.
