Premier Wheatley Pushes Forward with Governance Reform

Premier Wheatley wants to re-energize the governance reform process and move forward with implementing the remaining COI recommendations and other reforms with the UK's Overseas Territories Minister, Lord Zac Goldsmith, and Deputy Premier Lorna Smith.
He will discuss this with Governor John Rankin and expects to have an agreement soon.

Dr Wheatley also met with Chair of the BVI All Party Parliamentary Group, James Sunderland, and discussed his government's priorities and progress on reform.

The UK's Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak's approval of Ministerial leads in each UK government ministry to handle OT matters is a positive step in renewing the modern partnership between the two governments.
