Fire fighters contain house blaze @ Greenland
Quick response by officers of the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services prevented an entire home at Greenland from possibly going up in flames yesterday afternoon, August 16, 2022.
The cause of the fire is unknown to our newsroom at this time; however, sources said it started in a storage area affixed to the home.
This information was also confirmed by Chief Fire Officer Mr Zebalon A. McLean.
Mr McLean said his officers were able to extinguish the blaze; however, most of the contents of the storage area were destroyed.
"The Officers prevented it from moving into the main house," Mr McLean noted.
The home at Greenland that was affected by fire on August 16, 2022.
