The arrival of the vaccines at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island was streamed live via the government's Facebook page today, February 4, 2021.
“This is a good day and a good sign of our partnership with the United Kingdom. It is good for our tourism product, our health overall. It’s going to help us tremendously,” Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) said.
Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Carvin Malone (AL) informed that the shipment of vaccine would be transported to a storage facility right away.
The vaccines were courtesy of the United Kingdom government.
Also present was Governor John J. Rankin CMG, Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) among other health officials.
