Former Director of Tourism Sharon P. Flax-Brutus has now been named the new Managing Partner of Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals, the luxury development and management company that manages over 30 luxury holiday villas at Virgin Gorda, [British] Virgin Islands (VI).

Her leadership role in the position at the company, which boasts the island’s largest room and villa inventory, took effect on February 28, 2023.

'Upward trajectory'

The company, in a press release, stated that Mrs Flax- Brutus has bold plans to continue her upward trajectory.

“Virgin Gorda’s beauty and overarching experience transcend national ideas of island-competition. We are the unrivaled gem of the Caribbean, as proven by the accolades received from countless international publications.

“It is our team’s earnest intent to continue strategically making the necessary investments to further enhance the quality of our product, and our service, re-introducing the concept of true Caribbean luxury to our clients, partners, and guests”, the new Managing Partner was quoted as stating.

The company said Flax- Brutus’ ascension to the role of Managing Partner, is a novel development in the tourism industry.

Ms Christina Yates, Founder and Principal of Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals, reaffirmed her commitment to fairly recognising and rewarding excellence.

Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals said Mrs Sharon P. Flax- Brutus is now perfectly positioned to lead within the capacity, as she will now bear principal responsibility for the strategic direction of the company, acquisition and management of resources and investments; and marketing, product development, and quality control of inventory under the company’s management.

Promotion is 'a no-brainer'- Yates

“It was a no-brainer; her energy and expertise were exactly what was needed at the shareholders’ table to truly take our service experience through modern challenges and to the next level”, Ms Yates was quoted as saying.

The company said Mrs Flax-Brutus has demonstrated a wealth of experience and proven aptitude, as she spearheaded wins such as a completely sold-out inventory of villas during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
