Formal Address for Meghan Markle at Invictus Games
CEO Scott Moore Reveals Proper Etiquette for Addressing the Duchess
Invictus Games CEO Scott Moore has disclosed the preferred form of address for Meghan Markle as 'Ma'am'.
This detail was shared prior to Moore's first encounter with the Duchess during her visit to Canada for the Invictus Games event.
Unlike traditional royal protocol, where royals are first addressed as 'Your Royal Highness,' Meghan and Prince Harry are addressed simply as 'Ma'am' and 'Sir', respectively, following their departure from royal duties and the forfeit of 'HRH' titles in 2020.
The Invictus Games, established by Prince Harry in 2014, is a global sporting event for injured servicemen and women.
The upcoming Vancouver Whistler 2025 Games, set for February 8-16, will feature a 'One Year to Go' winter sports celebration.
Meghan and Harry visited Vancouver in February, engaging with the Invictus community and hinting at bringing their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to future events.
