Former Premier Fahie requests further postponement of trial

Former Premier Fahie requests further postponement of trial

Former Premier Andrew Fahie, through his attorney Theresa Van Vliet, has requested that his trial be reset to May 8, 2023.
This is the second request by Fahie for a postponement of his trial. His initial July 2022 trial date was first changed and reset to January 17, 2023, after new evidence was introduced.

A second trial date was then set for January 9, 2023, but in a new document seen by this news site, the new motion presented by Fahie’s team was unopposed by prosecutors when it was made before a Miami court today, November 28, 2022.

The new trial date request comes on the heels of racketeering charges being levelled against the former premier and his co-accused Oleanvine Maynard and her son, Kadeem Maynard.
