Former Premier Andrew Fahie, through his attorney Theresa Van Vliet, has requested that his trial be reset to May 8, 2023.
This is the second request by
Fahie for a postponement of his trial. His initial July 2022 trial date was first changed and reset to January 17, 2023, after new evidence was introduced.
A second trial date was then set for January 9, 2023, but in a new document seen by this news site, the new motion presented by
Fahie’s team was unopposed by prosecutors when it was made before a Miami court today, November 28, 2022.
The new trial date request comes on the heels of racketeering charges being levelled against the former premier and his co-accused Oleanvine Maynard and her son, Kadeem Maynard.
