Four Bars Named As Health Officials Hunt Suspected COVID-19 Cases

The government has named four bars as they continue their aggressive contact tracing in wake of the spike in COVID-19 cases.
These bars are Ramons in Huntums Ghut; The Vault in Long Bush; The Edge in Long Bush; and The Avenue in Mill Mall.

On Thursday afternoon, August 27, the government in a public notice said that persons who patronised the named establishments between August 15 and 22 are urged to get tested for COVID-19.

Persons can contact the COVID-19 Hotline at 852-7650 or call Public Health Division at 468-2274 for a referral. Testing is free.

"Any person or family members who are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever, cough, headache, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, muscle aches or difficulty breathing are also urged to call to get tested," the Government advised.

There are currently 17 active COVID-19 cases and Health Minister Hon. Carvin Malone is scheduled to provide an update on the results of additional tests. There is also a partial lockdown as health officials carry out their work.
