Francis Lettsome Primary School wins S.T.E.A.Mazing race 2023

Teachers of the Francis Lettsome Primary School have won the S.T.E.A.Mazing Race as part of Virgin Islands (VI) Education Week 2023 which runs from March 13 to 19, 2023, with a week of educational activities with a focus on Science, Technology, Education, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M).

The event was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Park from 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, and saw teachers participate in the fun-filled race which also included challenges centered around the tenets of S.T.E.A.M.

Subject Minister of Education, Hon Sharie B. deCastro (AL) congratulated the educators for participating and completing the various challenges in the S.T.E.A.Mazing race.

FLPS declared winners!

“Congratulations to Francis Lettsome Primary School for the WIN! Sincere gratitude to Digicel for partnering with the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs & Sports!,” the Minister said in a statement posted to Facebook today.

Education Week will culminate tomorrow, Sunday, March 19, 2023, with an afternoon of celebration for all educators and retirees from 2022.

Hon de Castro added that educators who have indicated their intent to retire at the end of this school year will also be honored at the event.
