Fraser promises AC fix at Ebenezer Thomas Primary by end of week

Fraser promises AC fix at Ebenezer Thomas Primary by end of week

Students and teachers at the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cows Bay can now expect repairs to the education facility’s air-conditioning unit as it has been out of commission for quite a while.
The promise was made by Third District Representative Julian Fraser at the reopening of the school for the new academic year on Monday, September 12.

Fraser said when he was on his way to the school yesterday morning, a parent approached him about getting some fans in the school.

“This is a story I have been hearing for maybe 20 years. Every time the school year begins there is a school that needs fans, but we have graduated to the point where our schools are air-conditioned. You know they have clipped our wings at the House of Assembly so we can’t say, don’t worry the fans will be coming before midday. We can’t do that anymore,” Fraser said.

“So, I said okay, let me find out what is wrong with your air conditioner. Getting fans is not the answer, the answer is fixing the air conditions. So, let me find out what is wrong with the air conditioner. I learnt that the air-conditioning needs maintenance so it can get up and running. I presume that at some point someone is going to ask me to say something this morning and I would like to say something to you back,” the Third District Representative stated.

“And something I want to say to you back is that you should have your air-conditioning up and running and if it doesn’t get up and running before the weekend let me know because I spoke to the minster and I was assured the maintenance people would come here and fix the air-conditioning,” Fraser said.
