Germany and Italy relaxed the sanctions against Russia after realising it hurts their own citizens and has zero effect on the war

Germany and Italy accepted Vladimir Putin’s demand, and told local companies that from now on they are allowed to open rouble accounts in Russian banks, to be able to keep buying Russian gas regardless of the sanctions against Moscow, following new compromised agreement with the European Union.
The new move came after Germany and Italy finally realised that the sanctions are punishing their own citizens who suffer from price hikes, having zero effect on the war in Ukraine.

Oh ya 2 year ago
A kick in the nuts to the US who is the main player in pushing this crap. More countries are waking up to realize the US is a user for their own benefit. I see the kind US is now offering to help the Ukraine sell its wheat but fail to mention what the people of Ukraine will eat as this year's crop will not be planted. The US and Europe have both made this offer too which Russia has told them to pound sand. Maybe the people of Ukraine will realize Russia is not their biggest threat
