Girls club led by RVIPF officer hosts successful movie night

The Chamber of Secrets Girl’s Club, led by Sergeant Jacqueline Tom-Christopher, as a part of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s (RVIPF) Community Policing initiative held a successful movie night in the parking lot of the East End Police Station on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

The movie night, which featured light refreshments, was the first of many public events hosted by the girl’s club and was extended to the East End community.

According to a press release from the RVIPF on November 7, 2021, the Chamber of Secrets Girl’s club was formed by Sergeant Tom-Christopher to give girls ages 9 to 18, a forum to express themselves and learn about life through many activities and programmes.

Life values & discipline

“I created the Chamber of Secret Girls’ Club because I saw that the young ladies in the BVI, especially in East End, needed someplace that they could go to learn things. This group would teach them about life values and most of all discipline.” She stated.

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins gave his support to Sergeant Tom-Christopher and commended her for her hard work with the girls in the community.

The girls’ club expects to continue its community outreach with various upcoming programmes and would like the full support of the community.
