Go-fast boat destroyed by fire in West End

A go-fast boat on its trailer in a parking lot opposite the West End Community Centre was damaged by fire last night, January 26, 2021.

Fire Chief Zebalon A. McLean confirmed the incident to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) but said he had no details since he was awaiting the report from his officers.

"No injuries reported," Mr McLean noted.

Fire officers reportedly received a report of the fire around 11:39pm.

The area where the boat fire occurred also accommodates a car wash.
