Gov’t seeking caterers for Immigration Detention Centre @ Castle Maria
Individuals detained at the Government’s Immigration Detention Centre located at Hotel Castle Maria in McNamara, Tortola can expect on-time means when new caterers take over the supply of food for persons being held at the facility.
Persons looking to supply food must be trained and competent in Catering Services and should have the capacity to provide meal services at the temporary Immigration Detention Centre housed at Hotel Castle Maria.
“The proposed scope of service is to ensure compliance in ensuring all meals are prepared and delivered within the time stipulated for meals of persons held in the detention centre by the Immigration Department,” information from the Government Information Services (GIS) detailed.
It remains unclear how many meals are provided at the centre; however, the scope could cover breakfast, lunch and dinner for those detained ahead of deportation.
