Virgin Islands Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has given his commitment to advancing the concept of good governance in the VI, as part of his New Year’s Day 2022 message to the people of the territory.

“As Premier, my commitment for 2022 - and that of your Government, is to continue working hard to promote Good Governance and to transform the Virgin Islands into a leading regional economy,” he said.

Hon Fahie added that his mandate to transform the territory will be achieved through entrepreneurship, innovation and local and foreign investment, “so that we can create more opportunities for you and your children, and improve your social and economic security and overall quality of life.”

The Premier further encouraged the public to join together in one accord for the annual ‘A Time of Praise and Prayer’ scheduled for today, January 1, 2022.

VI has immense potential

He said as a people, the VI has immense potential and is blessed with amazing natural resources, “Let us resolve to work together for the development of our beloved Virgin Islands. Let us strive to inspire, encourage and support each other.”
