Governor Spreads Holiday Cheer

Governor Gus Jaspert spent Christmas morning spreading holiday cheer to essential public officers and children at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
According to his office, the morning consisted of his attendance at a Christmas programme that was hosted by the staff of the hospital for children that are currently admitted, followed by a visit to the Emergency Ward to thank the doctors, nurses and other staff members for their work during the holiday season.

The Governor continued by visiting the officers of the Road Town Fire Station and Road Town Police Station to recognise and thank the officers for their commitment and dedication to the protection and service to the Virgin Islands community.

“While many of our Public Officers are able to spend Christmas day with family and friends, our dedicated team of officers and staff – essential workers, are on duty in an effort to serve and protect everyone in the Territory,” he said.

The Governor added, “I am thankful for the commitment displayed by these men and women and this visit today is just to express my appreciation to them for their efforts.”
