Guishard granted bail; Lewis remanded in firearm, ammo & drugs matter

Rhondella Guishard, 25, had her bail extended while Rashon D. Lewis, 42, was remanded to prison when they appeared before Magistrate Tamia N. Richards on firearm, ammunition and drugs charges on September 6, 2022.

Guishard, of Horsepath, and Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida were arrested and charged on August 30, 2022, when police searched a vehicle they were in at Hodge’s Creek.

Firearm & 24 rounds of ammo found


Among the illegal items yielded by the search was a Smith and Wesson M&P with 24 rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

According to the prosecution, cannabis discovered amounted to 18.17 grams with an estimated street value of $181.70.

A search warrant executed on the home of Lewis resulted in the discovery of 220 grams of marijuana in a suitcase.

Ecstasy found!


1600 grams of MDMA pills or ecstasy were also found.

Police also discovered that Lewis had landed in the territory without proper leave of an immigration officer.

Guishard and Lewis are jointly charged with unlawful possession of 24 rounds of ammunition and keeping of an unlicensed firearm.

Additionally, Lewis is also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug and two counts of possession with intent to supply.

Anxiety attacks


The court was informed that Guishard, who was represented by Valerie Stephens-Gordon, was granted station bail following a bout of anxiety attacks and had to be taken to hospital. Magistrate Richards extended her bail.

Lewis is represented by Stephen R. Daniels.

The matter has been adjourned until October 31, 2022.
