High chance of showers across VI today, October 14, 2021- DDM
Following showers almost throughout the night, the Virgin Islands can expect more rain today, October 14, 2021, the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has said.
DDM said the presence of a mid to upper-level trough across the area, coupled with light southerly winds, daytime heating and available low-level moisture could increase the chances for shower activity over and around the islands at times during the next 24 hours.
Weather today: Partly cloudy skies, becoming locally cloudy at times with a 70 percent or high chance of showers.
Weather tonight: Fair to partly cloudy skies with a 50 percent or moderate chance of showers.
Winds: South at 7 to 19 km/h or 5 to 12 mph with lighter spells overnight.
Seas: 1.2 to 1.8 meters or 4 to 6 feet.
