HMP inmate serving life sentence allegedly threatens to kill prison officer
A prisoner at Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) in Balsam Ghut on Tortola has reportedly threatened to kill a prison officer.
The accused, who our newsroom was told is serving life in prison for murder, also allegedly threw Pine Sol in the face of one of the prison officers.
The incident allegedly occurred on July 24, 2021.
Our newsroom was informed by prison sources that the Pine Sol got into the eyes of the prison officer.
The prisoner allegedly told the officer, “I must kill one of you all officer” and “I must kill one of you 3 Jamaican officers.”
Sources said the matter was reported to the police.
It is unclear if any charges have been laid.
