Hon Malone takes place alongside Hon Fraser in HoA
A day after announcing his departure from the Government of National Unity to join Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, former Health Minister Hon Carvin Malone (AL) took his place alongside Opposition Leader Hon Julian Fraser RA in the House of Assembly (HoA) today, June 16, 2022.
Legislators are meeting at Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom for the continuation of the 3rd Sitting of the 4th Session of the 4th House of Assembly.
Hon Malone, during a press conference on June 15, 2022, said it was in the best interest of himself and the territory, based on his views that may conflict with that of the Unity Government, that he resigns from the coalition government.
He also made it clear he was not bitter he was not given a ministerial portfolio in the coalition government of Premier Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7).
Meanwhile, legislators are currently debating the Business licensing Act, 2020.
