Hon Neville A. Smith brings 2022 Christmas joy to residents

Hon Neville A. Smith brings 2022 Christmas joy to residents

Despite the one-sided Commissioner of Inquiry conducted by a one-man British judge stripping elected officials of their assistance grants to help residents, one elected official went into his own pockets, as has been the case even before he was elected in 2019.

At Large Member and Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) Honourable Neville A. Smith went into his personal funds to purchase hams and turkeys for some residents. He started his distribution today, December 22, 2022, throughout many places on Tortola.

Our roving camera caught up with the first-term politician, who said he was “delighted to help again” this time "out of my own pockets.”

He said he loves people and wherever he “can help to bring joy at this season of giving they can count on me.”

It is unclear how many hams and turkeys Hon Smith will distribute, but he has been doing this for many years and is well-known for his kindness to others.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) Honourable Neville A. Smith (AL) is well-known for his kindness to persons in the Virgin Islands community.
