A Huntums Ghut man has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm.
T’Quan Bodkin, was found with a loaded .38 special revolver without having a license to carry it on October 2, 2020.
According to information gleaned in court, officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force searched Bodkin after he exhibited suspicious behaviour and had a strong stench of cannabis at the Road Town Ferry Terminal.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Road Town Police Station and was later charged with the offence.
When he appeared before Senior Magistrate Tamia Richards on March 23, he entered the guilty plea when the charge was read to him.
His sentencing is scheduled for May 19.
