'I will continue to give advice'- Hon Maduro-Caines to Deputy Premier

Showering blessings and well wishes on newly appointed permanent Deputy Premier, Dr The Hon Natalio D. Wheatley , Sixth District Representative and Government member of the House of Assembly (HoA), Hon Alvera Maduro-Caines has said she will continue to advise Dr Wheatley in his various roles even when they are not solicited.

"I have your back 110%, I would normally call you and tell you what I think should be done in the Ministry, what I don't like that is going on in the ministry and I will continue to tell you that," she said.

Hon Maduro-Caines, who is in her third consecutive term as a legislator, made the brief speech at the official informing of the Deputy Premier ceremony at The Stickit in Long Look on Friday, August 7, 2020.

"My views are not always right, but I'm going to always tell you what I see you can do to make education better, things that need to be done in the district," she said.

'I will still give opinions' - Hon Maduro-Caines

Hon Maduro-Caines related that herself and Dr Wheatley became close social media friends at the start of his political career, when she would offer him advice on politics.

"Nobody asks for my opinion most of the time, but I still will give it," Hon Maduro-Caines related.

The Sixth District Representative said since the beginning of Hon Wheatley's career she has believed he will be a great leader and the new Deputy Premier role puts him on the road to achieve that.
