If you can’t say how you represented VI in last 8 months ‘sit down’- Julio S. Henry

If you can’t say how you represented VI in last 8 months ‘sit down’- Julio S. Henry

Talk show host and social commentator Julio S. Henry aka 'Sam' is challenging local politicians and political aspirants in the Virgin Islands to run in the 2023 elections race only if they have a track record.

Mr Henry was at the time speaking on the February 27, 2023, edition of Da Morning Braff radio show on Tola Radio VI 100.5 FM.

“Whoever you decide to vote for, make sure it’s a team of individuals led by somebody who has shown that they have the skills and have proven themselves.”

Mr Henry said Virgin Islanders must also ask important questions when looking at persons in the election run.

These questions he said must include what you have done and said to represent the Virgin Islands in the last eight months, including how they represented the VI.

General elections in the Virgin Islands is constitutionally due by mid 2023.

Politicians must have track record - Sam Henry

“If you have not shown any type of representative, anything to show that you have what it takes to help move an issue forward in the best interest of this country, sit down.”

Mr Henry said to do the contrary would waste time, money, and resources, as they have no track record.

“In the last eight months to a year, we have individuals right now who can show us what exactly they can do under extreme pressure and they have done a fabulous job,” he said.

He said the VI now has proof for those who are currently in charge who have proved what they can and cannot do.
