It's Summer Year-Round in Loewe Paula's Ibiza 2021

Photographed by Gray Sorrenti, Jonathan Anderson reflects on past Spanish summers for Loewe Paulas Ibiza 2021 collection.

"The spirit of letting go is, for me, forever associated with this unique place." That's how Loewe's artistic director Jonathan Anderson described the Spanish house's new offering for its Paula's Ibiza 2021 line. The annual collection returns to celebrate the Balearics and the memories of the designer, who associates the daily wardrobe with the carefree style of summer fashion worn by the sea. "Summer is heralded as a way of being, not just a season," Anderson continued. "A mindset that works all year long. A happily energizing one." As in the past, this year's Loewe Paula's Ibiza collection is comprised of a selection of garments and accessories for men and women with formal options suitable for any occasion. Soft cuts and asymmetrical silhouettes composed of comfy bits, sweatshirts, drawstring shorts, and wide fit trousers are interpreted with archive prints taken from the repertoire of Paula's founders, Armin Heinemann and Stuart Rudnick. Details are revealed in cotton crochet, faded effects, and prints placed on workwear garments.
