Kurt Rabsatt faces burglary/offensive weapon charges

Police charged recaptured prisoner Kurt Rabsatt with two counts of burglary and being armed with an offensive weapon since his recapture earlier this week.

He was also charged with escaping lawful custody.

Rabsatt, 36, of Long Look, was wanted in connection with a number of burglaries when he was initially arrested in late December.

Police investigations continue into these as well as other reports, a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, January 21, 2022, stated.

The RVIPF said it is grateful for the community’s support and assistance provided in Rabsatt’s recapture.

The public’s help was sought in his recapture after he fled from a police vehicle while being escorted into the East End Police Station, police stated.

Kurt Rabsatt, 36, of Long Look, was wanted in connection with a number of burglaries when he was initially arrested in late December.
