Late sleeper assaults mother & sister over noise @ Greenland

Two women were reportedly assaulted by a male relative at Greenland, Tortola, following a verbal dispute that started after he complained about being disturbed by noise while he was still in bed shortly after 7:00am on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
According to reports reaching our newsroom, the sister of the man was on her mobile phone and doing her chores on the porch of the home when the man became enraged, accusing her of disturbing his sleep.

It is said the accused got out of his bedroom and charged to hit his sister when the mother attempted to intercept but was thrown to the ground.

The man, who hails from St Croix, US Virgin Islands, allegedly left the home but returned shortly after and went after his sister again.

This time, he allegedly hit her on the back of her head, causing her to fall on her face.

Police were reportedly called in and the man was arrested and charged with two counts of Common Assault.
