Law Firm Adopts Enis Adams Primary School

Local law firm Kobre & Kim (BVI) LP has joined the Adopt-A-School fraternity and is the new parent of the Enis Adams Primary School.
The law firm has committed $50,000 to the school and joins Carey Olsen, Digicel, Harney's, Ogier, Rotary Clubs of Tortola and Road Town and most recently Belmont Community as fellow sponsors through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture’s Adopt-A-School Programme.

Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley thanked Kobre & Kim (BVI) LP for their generous donation which he said will go towards assisting with the needs of the school.

Chairman and Director of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mrs. Brenda Lettsome-Tye said the Adopt-A-School committee embarked on a revitalisation campaign to reestablish past sponsors for schools and that this is the second sponsor to have come on board since hurricanes Irma and Maria.

“The school will receive monies over a five-year period with a commitment of $10,000 each year,” Mrs. Lettsome-Tye said, adding, “I invite all those Parent and Partner Sponsors in the Adopt-A-School Programme who have lapsed in their commitment to jump back in and start active sponsorship of their respective schools. We will be embarking on a re-commitment campaign shortly, so expect to hear from us.”

The Adopt-A-School programme is a public-private partnership, and is an opportunity for businesses in the community to act on their corporate, social, and community responsibility through a school while positively impacting the lives of young students in the Territory.
