Lindsay breaks record @ Mourant HLSCC College Classics on VG

Latest Virgin Islands (BVI) Katrina Lindsay broke the female's record at the 25th Edition of the Mourant H. Lavity Stoutt Community College Classics Race Series in Virgin Gorda on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the College’s Virgin Gorda Centre. on local community, politics, finance/business, culture and sports.
The Virgin Gorda finale leg of the series recorded Jelani Croal as the race winner after he ran a time of 11:29.39.

He was followed by Katrina Lindsay in a record-breaking time for the women after running a time of 11:35.07. Lindsay held the previous record of 11:40.34, which she broke on October 19, 2019.

Race Director, Mrs Stephanie Russ Penn explained that this finale and the one on Tortola are both earmarked to especially celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Race Series.

Mrs Russ Penn also extended tremendous appreciation on behalf of the College to the individuals that participated in the finale and that have participated throughout the years.

The final race at the Paraquita Bay campus is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020, and will showcase relay teams for the first time in the series’ history.

The College continues to partner with the law firm Mourant as the main sponsor of the series which is a green event (bring your own water bottle).
