However, while the RVIPF in a statement today, March 17, 2021, said evidence indicates that a high-powered weapon was used in the shooting incident at Fish Bay yesterday, March 16, 2021, it did not state whether the weapon recovered yesterday was ‘high-powered’.
The shooting at Fish Bay left Deverson Williams, 38, a native of St Vincent and Long Trench resident, dead.
Police said the victim’s vehicle, nearby vehicles and the International Motors building also sustained damage.
“Following the incident, a search warrant was carried out on a property on Tortola which resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm and ammunition. Two persons were arrested as a result,” the RVIPF has stated.
