Main Street grocery store burglarised during curfew

Sunshine Grocery Store located on Main Street on Tortola has been burglarized. Police said the store was burglarized around 10:20 am on Monday, March 30 during the ongoing territorial curfew.
“Inquiries indicate that the grocery store was secured at the end of day March 27th and was discovered burglarized when opened this morning,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said in a subsequent media release.

The RVIPF is now inviting anyone with information about the incident to contact its three-digit access number at 311 or its Intelligence Unit at 284-368-9339.

This burglary comes a week after gunmen robbed another grocery store in the Nanny Cay/Hannah’s Estate area of Tortola.

Police are investigating both incidents.
