Man arrested after sending death threats to his child’s mother

BVI News understands that a 31-year-old man of Long Look East End was this week arrested by police after sending death threats to the mother of his child.
The couple reportedly share a child together and were in an on-again, off-again relationship that ended about a year ago.

It’s reported that the child’s father got angry after seeing the woman in public with his son and her new spouse.

That’s when he sent text messages threatening to kill the woman by the end of the week.

The police were alerted and the man was arrested and jailed.

It’s also reported that no offensive weapons or objects were found when he was searched by cops.

BVI News was unable to ascertain whether he was granted bail or whether he will be brought before the court to answer to the charges against him.

In the meantime, our news centre understands that the victim of the threats is a licensed medical doctor in the territory.
