Man arrested this week for ‘machete slap’ assault
The incident allegedly happened in Baugher’s Bay but it’s unclear whether the men are from that area. It’s also unclear whether both men are related.
The man who was slapped with the machete reportedly began throwing stones during the fight.
That’s when his opponent allegedly grabbed a nearby machete and hit him in the stomach.
It’s understood that the victim sustained injuries after he was hit with the machete but it’s unclear how serious those injuries are.
It’s also understood that the victim told the police that though he was injured, he doesn’t want the matter to proceed to court. However, he asked that the cops caution his accused attacker.
