Man shot in leg in EE
man entered 2023 nursing a bullet wound at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital after he was injured in a shooting in East End, last night, December 31, 2022.
According to reports reaching our news centre, the man was shot in the leg just before midnight.
It is unclear what led to the shooting.
Police have confirmed the incident.
"The RVIPF can confirm that a male attended the Dr. Orlando Smith hospital and received treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg last night. Circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear at this time therefore no further information can be provided," the RVIPF stated today, January 1, 2023.
There were 7 fatal shootings in 2022.
