After a two-year hiatus caused by the ravages of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, Paola and Dwite Flax have announced the highly-anticipated re-opening of Mango Bay Resort in Virgin Gorda.
According to a press statement from the company, Mango Bay Resort was opened in 1986 with five beach front villas and nine garden view villas nestled between luscious trees and gardens and a breathtaking beach. For the past thirty-three years the owners of the resort have welcomed new and return guests to their property for many vacations and staycations.
However, like many tourism and hospitality-based properties, the couple was forced to almost start from scratch after the storms caused their businesses to come to a complete halt. But their resilience shined through and after a short break, the resort is back to its former glory with several improvements.
“We really took our time with the upgrades and renovations of our beachfront property; we wanted it to be perfect. We are elated to be a part of
the Virgin Islands Tourism product once again and we look forward to welcoming visitors to our shores. We are certain that their stay with us will be incomparable” said owner Paola Flax on the resort’s re-opening.
