Material Delay Behind Sewerage Leak In Pasea

The Water and Sewerage Department is currently awaiting materials that were ordered a few months ago and should have arrived already o fix the sewerage issue in Pasea Estate, next to Delta Gas station.
This is according to Hon. Kye Rymer, the Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities.

He explained that due to the economic challenges faced by the global pandemic, these items are still in transit to the territory.

"The Department aims to conduct an overhaul and install a permanent remedy that is expected to last up 50-60 years. This project will be conducted in three phases, and I am happy to report that phase one has been completed, and as a result, three hundred and twenty (320) feet of line were installed.
Unfortunately, the project has been halted due to the absence of materials," Hon. Rymer stated.

However, he indicated that once received, a temporary solution would be installed to address the current issue which has resulted in a massive crater on the eastbound lane of the highway.

"I thank the public for their patience and understanding and ask that you take extreme caution when traversing on the eastbound lane of the Sir Francis Drake Highway," Hon. Rymer stated.
