McMaster wins 400m dash @ 2021 Bob Pollock Invitational

VI’s Kyron A. McMaster yesterday, January 29, 2021, ran away with the win in the Men’s 400M dash finals of the 2021 Bob Pollock Invitational, held at Clemson University in South Carolina, USA.
The Clemson track and field program is currently hosting its third meet of the season on Jan. 29-30, as the resident Tigers welcome 15 schools for the 2021 Bob Pollock Invitational.

McMaster took the win with 46.52 in heat one, ahead of William Spenser Jr's 46.78 in heat two and Kemar Mowatt's 47.13 in heat one, to kick-start the first month of the 2021 athletics season ahead of the Japan Olympics.

“The competition this meet should be deeper and more challenging than in our first three meets,” said Mark Elliott, Director of Track & Field at the event.

“I’m looking for where we are performance-wise, and hopefully, we’re still on the path of continuing to get better. Being with this many teams, there should be more excitement with more people going in and out of the facility, and I’m sure there’s going to be great competition across the board in every single event,” he said.
