Miss World BVI Rikkiya A.R. Braithwaite to auction $7,500 vacation package in London

Miss World BVI, 22-year-old Rikkiya A.R. Braithwaite is in London, United Kingdom, for the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant.

Ms Braithwaite, an aspiring actress who would like to one day open her own performing arts school, is one of 120 women from all over the world in London for the three-week festival which culminates with the Miss World pageant on December 14, 2019.

In the buildup to the pageant, each contestant competes in a series of fast track events that guarantee a place in the top 40 at the final. These Top Model include Multimedia, Sport, Talent, Head to Head Challenge and Beauty With A Purpose, taking them on a journey across some of the London’s most iconic landmarks taking in its rich culture and heritage.

According to reports out of London, Ms Braithwaite has been doing well and is enjoying every moment of her ambassadorial duties as Miss World BVI.


Anegada Beach Club gifts $7,500 vacation package

Separate from the grand competition, a major highlight of Rikkiya's stint in London will be the Miss World Charity Auction where Queens from the over 100 participating countries will be presenting a special gift from their country to be auctioned in aid of underserved communities and children around the world.

In ensuring that the Virgin Islands contributes to the worthwhile initiative, Anegada Beach Club, which offers choice luxury accommodation, gifted a $7,500 luxury vacation package to the Miss World BVI organisation as an auction item for the charity event.

According to a press release from the Miss World BVI Committee, this package for two “will enable lucky bidders to experience the charm of the British Virgin Islands, while they relax at Anegada's newest and best in accommodations.”

The vacation package includes seven luxurious nights of ‘Glamping’, VIP Transfer via Anegada Express Ferry, Beachfront Palapa Retreat, Arrival Champagne in room, breakfast for two daily, one dinner for two at The Lobster Trap and two spa treatments by Touch of the Caribbean.

On Tuesday November 12, 2019 Ms Braithwaite was on hand to accept the donation from the Anegada Beach Club and expressed her appreciation to the Management and Staff of the property for their willingness to support this initiative.

Further Ms Braithwaite stated that she is excited for that lucky person who will win the bid for this vacation of a lifetime.

Chairman of Miss World BVI Damion C. Grange, expressed his gratitude to the Anegada Beach Club for being so generous in support of Beauty With A Purpose and indicated that partnerships like these help to further promote and showoff the amazing experiences the VI has to offer, the press release stated.
