Modi Showcases Yoga and Cultural Diplomacy at UN, Meets with Elon Musk and US Leaders

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi showcased yoga and his country's cultural diplomacy by participating in a yoga session at the United Nations on June 22, 2022.
The event was held to celebrate the International Day of Yoga, which was designated by the UN in 2014.

Modi emphasized that yoga is a way of life and can be practiced by people of all ages, faiths, and cultures.

He also highlighted India's cultural reach by showcasing the country's traditional practices and promoting its cultural diplomacy.

Modi is known for his personal practice of yoga and has made it a diplomatic tool to strengthen India's ties with other countries.

During his visit to the UN, Modi also met with diplomats and dignitaries and addressed global tensions, including climate change, the 1COVID1-19 pandemic, and terrorism.

Modi has been seeking a permanent seat on the UN Security Council and has been elected to a two-year seat several times.

He is currently on a three-day visit to the US, where he is scheduled to meet with President Joe Biden, address a joint meeting of Congress, and attend a White House state dinner.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with a group of US academics, health experts, scientists, and business leaders, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Modi expressed optimism about India's future, and Musk stated that he is excited about India's potential and confident that Tesla will establish a presence in India as soon as possible.

Musk previously mentioned that Tesla may choose a location for a new factory by the end of this year, and India is a potential site for the factory.
