Money Order service between US & VI Postal Services to end Oct 1, 2021

Acting Postmaster General Mrs Iris Romney has disclosed that effective Friday, October 1, 2021, the reciprocal International Postal Money Order service between the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the Virgin Islands Postal Service (BVI Post) will come to an end.
This is according to a Government Information Service (GIS) press release on September 10, 2021.

Mrs Romney said all International Postal Money Orders issued up to Thursday, September 30, 2021, by the USPS will be valid for one year thereafter and will become null and void after that date.

The Acting Post Master added that during this period, all International Postal Money Orders held by customers can be cashed at any post office throughout the Virgin Islands.

According to the press release, Mrs Romney has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the termination of this service.

It said persons with questions can contact the Acting Post Master at 468-4194 or 468-9274.
