Reports reaching our news centre indicate that a man visited the police station in an attempt to retrieve a motor scooter.

He; however, reportedly became infuriated when he was told by a female police officer that he couldn't get the motor scooter.

Physical altercation

The irate man then allegedly physically attacked the police officer and had to be subdued by other officers.

It was during this time that another officer was also allegedly injured.

The accused was also reportedly injured and had to be taken to hospital for medical attention.

Alleged escape attempt

It is our information that the man made an attempt to escape from the hospital and damaged a door in the proccess.

His escape attempt was; however, foiled by police.
