MP Lucy Allan Suspended for Endorsing Rival Candidate

Conservative MP Lucy Allan has been suspended after endorsing a Reform UK candidate. She resigned from the Conservative Party to support Reform UK's Alan Adams in Telford. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak warned that voting for Reform could put Labour leader Keir Starmer in power.
Conservative MP Lucy Allan has been suspended after endorsing a Reform UK candidate, Alan Adams, in Telford, Shropshire.

Allan announced her resignation from the Conservative Party to support Adams, which led to her suspension 'with immediate effect'.

Allan had previously won the Telford seat in 2019 with a majority of 10,941 votes.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak commented that voting for Reform UK would only help Labour leader Keir Starmer gain power.

Allan praised Adams, a Royal Navy veteran, as the best candidate for Telford.

The Conservative Party expressed disappointment, while the Reform Party celebrated Allan's support, stating their traditional centre-right values resonate more with her.
