One remanded, another granted $15K bail for drug offences- RVIPF

Among the many arrests made by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for the period July 17 to August 6, 2022, two of them were for drug offences.

This was revealed in the Arrest Blotter published today, August 9, 2022.

According to the RVIPF, on July 20, 2022, police arrested and charged Rony Jimenez, 33, of Parham Town for Unlawful Possession with Intent to Supply to Another. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.

On the same day, police arrested and charged Hakeem Leonard of the Valley, Virgin Gorda for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Cocaine. He was granted bail with a signed surety in the sum of $15,000 to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on September 22, 2022.

HUMAN SMUGGLING

On 18-07-2022 at 0400hrs, Police arrested and charged Jeremy Kuntz, 30, of Chalwell Estate for the Human Smuggling. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.

THEFT

On 19-07-2022 at 2136hrs, Police arrested and charged Winston Blackett, 38, of Sea Cows Bay for Theft. He was granted bail.

BURGLARY

On 27-07-2022 at 0400hrs, Police arrested and charged Damien Farrell, 30, of Glory for the offence of Burglary and Theft. He was granted $5,000 bail with conditions to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 20-10-2022 at 0900hrs.

FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUEST OF A POLICE OFFICER

Under The New Cyber Crime Act

On 20-07-2022 at 1530hrs, Police arrested and charged Oswalda Tejada Benitez, 47, of Parham Town for Failing to Comply with a Request of a Police Officer under the new Cyber Crime Act and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug with the Intent to Supply to Another. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was remanded.

INDECENT ASSAULT

*  On 27-07-2022 at 1540hrs, Police arrested and charged Polmanus Christopher, 42, for Indecent Assault. He was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 with one surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 20-10-2022.

*  On 11-07-2022 at 1515hrs, Police arrested and charged Aristicides Geraldo Cedano, a native of Dominican Republic for Indecent Assault. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety to appear before the Magistrate's Court on 22-09-2022.

DRIVING WHILE DISQUALIFIED

On 01-08-2022 at 1700hrs, Police arrested and charged Theron Harry, 27, of Greenland for Driving While Disqualified. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 20-09-2022 at 0900hrs.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On 04-08-2022 about 2153hrs, Police arrested and charged Jovanne Henry, 34, of Parham Town for the Disorderly Conduct, Assault on Police and Threatening Language.

WOUNDING

On 06-08-2022 at 1256hrs, Police arrested and charged Elmo Conner Jr., 42 of Sea Cows Bay for Wounding. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 signed surety to appear at the Magistrate's Court on 20-10-2022 at 0900hrs.

INDECENT LANGUAGE

On 06-08-2022 at 2006hrs, Police arrested and charged Atlee Noel of Virgin Gorda for Indecent Language, Resisting Arrest and Assault on Police. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed bail to appear before Magistrate's Court.

POSSESSION OF A FIREARM WITH INTENT TO ENDANGER LIFE


On 08-04-2022 between 1833hrs, Police arrested and charged Reaquan Garraway, 19, of Mount Healthy on one count of Carrying a Firearm Without License, one count of Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life and one count of Unlawful Possession of Explosive. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail.
