Alexander McQueen Just Created the Perfect Bag for Summer 2021

Alexander McQueen Just Created the Perfect Bag for Summer 2021

This British label's newest bag combines a contemporary vision with nostalgic references to the house’s past.

Alexander McQueen's newest release for the Spring/Summer 2021 season is the Curve Bag. Releasing today, this strong and nuanced piece contains allusions to the house's iconic harness silhouette, which has been a central attribute of the brand's repertoire since its early days with the namesake designer.

The new bag showcases a stripped back design approach and a focus on a molded silhouette that characterizes the latest women’s ready-to-wear collection. It includes a double-flap closure, as well as an intersecting harness that hugs the body of the bag. The Curve is carried via an adjustable strap, allowing the bag to be worn crossbody or over the shoulder. Finally, an Alexander McQueen signature appears embossed on the front of the bag and a debossed seal is featured on the back. The Curve oozes luxury and ease=with seven different colorways (a yellow, black, and black and white for Spring/Summer 2021, and five additional options for Pre-Fall) it is the perfect bag for warmer weather.

A new window display dedicated to the bag is installed at the Alexander McQueen London flagship, where visitors can see an ode to the Curve and also to the Spring/Summer 2021 collection film, First Light, that the house debuted last year.
