Pedal cyclist critically injured after collision with motorcycle
Sometime around 15:20hrs today, Saturday, January 9, 2021, reports reaching our newsroom is that a Caucasian male was knocked off a bicycle by a motorcyclist, in the Hannah’s Estate area of Tortola.
While the details remain sketchy, eyewitnesses reported that man in question appeared to have suffered major injuries, including broken limbs and he was seen lying in the grass at the side of the road.
Sources alleged that the rider of the motorcycle immediately fled the scene after the accident.
Up to publication time, paramedics were on the scene tending to the injured man, while the motorcycle was seen abandoned at the side of the road.
Police arrived shortly after the man was taken to the hospital to commence investigations.
