‘Persons who point out your weaknesses also see your strengths’- Hon Fahie

Virgin Islands (VI) Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has called on Virgin Islanders to strengthen each other, rather than pull each other down, and recognise that those who point out your weaknesses also see your strengths.

The Premier was speaking during the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Let's Talk radio show on October 19, 2021.

“A lot of time we take time to find the failure in each other, and not take time to make sure we find the success of the person, or the strength of the person and lift it up,” Hon Fahie said.

Premier Fahie may have been hitting at criticisms of his administration and those who criticise everything the government has done since taking office in February 2019.

He said; however, the future remains in the hands of the people of the VI but change must first start in the hearts and minds of the people.

To the people of the territory, the Premier reminded us that the only barriers present are those that 'we put on ourselves and put on each other'.

“Be mindful of anyone whose job is only to point out your weaknesses, when you see that happening, turn to heaven and say thank God.”

Hon Fahie continued, “Because anyone that takes time to point out your weaknesses, they more see your strengths than yourself,” he said.

To the people of the territory, the Premier reminded that the only barriers present are those "we put on ourselves and put on each other."

“Let us look to see how to lift up our brothers and sisters. Let us make sure that we use our education to educate our people and do it respectfully,” he said.
