Virgin Islands Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has officially taken the COVID-19 booster shot in the form of the BioNTech Pfizer vaccine.
“Done! I've taken my booster shot of Pfizer. Holding strong! Let's do this! BVI we can do this. Let's keep moving forward together,” Hon Fahie said in a Facebook post today, Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Since its arrival of some 4,680 Pfizer
vaccines on December 15, 2021, the government has embarked on an
aggressive vaccination drive with both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca as
third dose boosters.

Persons seeking a booster dose with AstraZeneca should know that those booster shots are being reserved for persons with medical contraindications to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
The available AstraZeneca shots and will also be going to persons requiring a second dose, having already had the first, with Pfizer shots also earmarked for priority groups.
